Herbal Collection, Quality Testing & Commercial Production

ACT International Nepal is implementing a structured and research-based approach to strengthen the medicinal and herbal plant sector in Sudurpaschim Province. The program focuses on systematic herbal collection from naturally available resources across all nine districts, ensuring proper identification and sustainable harvesting practices.

Collected samples will undergo scientific quality testing and laboratory validation to assess their medicinal value, purity, and commercial potential. This process will help establish reliable quality standards and ensure that only verified and high-value species are promoted for large-scale production.

Based on test results, selected medicinal plants will be supported for organized commercial production. Farmers will be engaged through training, technical support, and sustainable cultivation practices to enhance productivity and income generation.

Through this integrated process of collection, testing, and production, the program aims to build a strong herbal value chain, improve market competitiveness, and promote sustainable economic growth in the region.
