Agarwood Plantation Rehabilitation and Farmer Support Initiative Under the National Economic Development (NED)Project
Under the first phase of the National Economic Development Project operated by ACT International Nepal, a series of field-based agricultural support programs are being conducted in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts starting from 2083-02-14. The program focuses on agarwood replantation and regular field monitoring to ensure healthy plant growth and sustainable commercial cultivation. Along with technical field visits, farmers are being supported through the distribution of manure, fertilizers, medicines, vitamins, and essential agricultural inputs. In addition, practical farmer training programs are being organized to enhance local knowledge and skills in plantation management, plant care, soil improvement, and disease control. This initiative aims to strengthen rural livelihoods, promote sustainable agro-forestry practices, and contribute to long-term economic improvement within local communities.
